Default Rubberbanding (sort of) problem

I'm having this rubberbanding problem since i've got better internet connection. I see other characters (not my own) just teleport from place to place instead of walking.

Video

I've already tried:

changing all cables from my pc 'till phone line, changed firewall, set av software not to monitor gw.exe traffic, forwarded ports on my adsl router, set gw.exe to run on only one core, installed new graphic drivers, reinstalled gw.dat from complete edition dvd and then used -image to update it.

My spec:

Gigabyte ga-ma790x-ds4
AMD Phenom II X4 920
4gb Kingston 800 mhz
MSI R4850 2D512 OC

Any suggestions what to try next?

Thanks in advance,
Preacher

Thanks for your replies.

@drkn
I sometimes minimize often, gonna try windowed in few minutes.

@Katsumi
Yeah, i'm on adsl

Forgot to mention that i've already tested my connection on a sister's laptop. It works without a rubberbanding there.

Edit: It's better when i run the game in windowed, rubberbanding rarely happens.

It seems like you're experiencing graphical lag, not network lag. What graphics card are you using?

That card shouldn't be giving you issues. Hmm...I'll have to think on this one.

It wasw already mentioned, but if you commonly use Alt + Tab to switch from the game to other programs... don't do it. GW does not work well with Alt + Tab on many computers... the reason is not known for sure.

Thanks for your help, guys. I'll use windowed or minimize less from now on .

Could be alt+tab issue.. that tend to make me laggstepping all over (guess rubberbanding could occur as well), anyway.. if you need to minimize gw, instead of alt+tab.. reduce to window mode and then do whatever you want to do in windows.

You may want to tell us how often it happens.. is it always? when you first log in? might need to tell us how to reproduce this.. easier to help.

It doesnt happen all the time. I've noticed it starts when some character start making sudden turns (going one way then suddenly starts going exactly opposite).

Is your PC running any other programs when it happens? Virus scanner maybe?

Is your network connection shared with other programs or systems?

I have kaspersky av installed but gw.exe is set as trusted app. I've tried with kav turned off just in case. Same thing happens.

And no, i'm not sharing my connection with other PCs/programs.

Oh well, just have to get used to playing in windowed from now on .
